A graduate and former Professor of the Univeristy of Mersone, Val became one of the Disciples of Ascension. Val is perhaps best known for much of the documentation that exists regarding the events around Cerelia Soards' ascension to becoming the goddess of Justice. Together with her husband, Arvin, Val helped found the University of Caspary.
Dedicated to Cerelia the university focuses on all knowledge, Magical, Religious, and General. It was well known that Val kept a Private Diary in addition to the Writings of the Ascension, though no such diary was found among her possessions after her death, there are some students of the University that believe she may have hidden it somewhere on the grounds. Over the years a secret society developed of students searching for the lost diary, known only as the LDS.
