In the inland plains lies Sallishaw Reservoir. The dam that created the reservoir was a community built project, built not just to irrigate the surrounding fields, but to drown the village of Adlington, home of the infamous Adlington Massacre in 1685. And in 1764, the Prophet of Callister made her first predictions on the shores of the lake.
