The Breaking of the World

According to the Dwarves, many thousands of years ago, before the Humans crossed the great mountains from the Chaos Lands, their people were united as one. The land, too, was unified in a great mountain range. But petty differences between Dwarven twin brothers, both competing for the throne, eventually led to a great Dwarven war that only ended when Dwarven Sorcerers broke the world, splitting it in half with a great rift. Gromm, the dwarven god, was so upset with his people that he stripped dwarves of magic, and filled the rift with water, creating what is now known as the Vileshall Sea.
