(b. 893 AE; d. 979 AE) Lord of Perovia. Wolftane is most widely known for creating the buffer kingdom of Perovia during the Orcish invasions of 947-953. Originally hailing from Rascorin, Wolftane led a group of volunteer soldiers against an invading Orc horde, holding back the main invasion force from Rascorin. After several years of battle, King Viridistan of Roscorin formally recognized Wolftane's contribution, and granted the new kingdom of Perovia autonomy.
Wolftane, along with his companions Meagnar the Black, and Tiplar Redleaf, eventually led forces that drove the Orcs back into the Dim Mountains.
Wolftane and the sorceress Tylia wed in 956, and they founded the Castle Wolftane in 958. The Castle was not completed until 967. In 962, Tylia gave birth to twin daughters.
