======Tenandryl======
a city of legend, said to be the home of giants. Whereabouts unknown.
In the years following the Exodus and the fall of Enshalla, much history was lost. It is known that a powerful mage named Marcus betrayed King Anotace of Enhsalla a few years after the Exodus, and cast a powerful spell that obscured the Isle of the Winds for over a thousand years. In the chaos that followed, many of the settlements that had been founded declared their independence, and struck out on their own. Taran, Roscorin and Mersone were all founded during the Exodus.
Each was beginning to become a thriving city when the Nushalla was cut off, and each had their own ideas about their future. It was only natural that they would declare their independence from each other, especially given their distance from one another. It was at this time that three other city-states were born - Clariston, Tenandryl and another city to the North, whose name has ben lost in time.
Clariston endured until the reign of the first Dark Emporer. Clariston was the first City to come under the influence of Amadis, and was his base of power for much of his reign. Unfortunately, the city was destroyed in the fighting that led to Amadis’ fall. Because of the powerful necromantic magicks he wove there, the city has remained abandoned to this day, even though the Companions of Light cleansed the city in the late 1020's.
Tenandryl was the most powerful and longest lasting of the nations to rise in the aftermath of the Exodus. When the Isle of the Winds was cut-off from the rest of Iskitaan, only eight of King Anotace’s council of nobles were off the island. Five years after the Betrayal, they met in Mersone to discuss the future of the nation. Seven of them, led by the mage Dana, headed off to a hidden valley and founded the city of Tendandryl, determined to unify Iskitaan into one nation again. Tenandryl controlled a large territory stretching west from Mersone to the Gatelands around the Maelstrom. The nation reigned for 245 years, until Josan, one of the ruling Council of Seven, under the influence of Oathbreaker, betrayed the rest of the council and started a civil war that lasted two years. The war ended the reign of Tenandryl, and the location of the city itself was lost.
Galen, The eighth member of Anotace’s council of nobles disagreed with Dana and the others. He, and his followers headed north and founded a city of their own. The name and exact location of the city are unknown, but most scholars believe it was located in the Eyesdin Blight. It is believed that some disaster befell the city, ultimately creating the Blight itself. The Dwarves, who have inhabited the mountains north of the Blight for thousands of years deny that there was ever anything there but the Blight. What happened to Galen and his followers has remained a mystery for over a thousand years.
