Kurt is the youngest of triplets and the only son not to have chosen the life of a solider or the typical life of a noble. Being the second born son allowed Kurt to follow his true passion for art. He studied art starting at a young age, so by the time he was 15 he had become extremely skilled. He often spends all day sitting in the market place sketching those who pass by or at his family's home painting portraits of those who hire him. He has become a well known artist in Mount Thunder and his works are known as far to the west as the Gatelands.
