Bracken was born during Volrath's reign as ruler of the Gatelands. Actually Bracken was Volrath's bastard son, whose mother's identity was never discovered. Out of nowhere Volrath just claimed Bracken as his son. When Volrath died Bracken was choosen as the Gatelands new ruler. However, his rule only lasted two years when he was discovered dead one morning by one of his advisors. His death still remains a mystery in the Gatelands.
