Our year of Rama 1919 AE
The High King is dead, and his infant son’s throne held in regency. The capital of Andrellsport is in chaos, nobles are arguing, factions are forming, and the nation-states of Iskitaan are preparing for a war of succession of a magnitude not seen since just after the Exodus. The legacy of Morgonson High King Andrell has never been in more peril, and yet, even darker times are ahead.
In the legends of Iskitaan, when dark times occurred, heroes arose, championing what is right and good. The defeats of the Dark Emperors, the restoration of Morgonson Andrell to his throne, the ascension of Cerelia, the ending of the Silv Wars – all dark times that brought forth great heroes like the Companions of Light and the Disciples of the Ascension. Heroes who were foretold by prophecy, shining paragons of virtue and righteousness, who led the masses through the darkness to the light. Legends.
As the tensions in Iskitaan rise, strange things are also afoot. The ruins of Nueshalla have risen from the sea again, the Lograh won’t allow anyone into their territory, the Debarran palace gardens are blossoming in an eternal spring, the Chaos Walls have begun to crumble and rumors of a prophecy known as the Nine Keys are running rampant. The people are scared. They are looking for heroes. They are looking for the Blood of Legends.

The Campaign Update
It’s been nearly nine hundred years since Morgonson Andrell took the throne, and over eight hundred since Cerelia ascended. A lot has changed in Iskitaan. The population has grown, filling areas once known as vast tracts of wilderness. Nueshalla on the Isle of the Winds, destroyed by magic, lost to the sea, now returned, but forbidding and dangerous. A new capital, Andrellsport, built. Swords of Fate found, and lost again. The immortal Jasmine disappeared after completing the Chaos Walls, gone like her father before her. Dexter Corvus has ascended to demi-god status, worshipped by two churches, and is suffering for it. The Silv Wars driving the Ricsilv to live among the Larsilv. The influence of the great families of Iskitaan – the Gems, the Soards, the Drakes, the Nakyes – has waned. The High King’s throne no longer wields the power over the nation states that it used to.And yet it is still an Iskitaan that is familiar. Rama is still worshipped, with Chala and Knorr at his side. Thames is still a city known for starting great adventures. The Gatelands still guards the Maelstrom. Spirit Shipping Co ships still roam the Vileshall. The University of Mersone still produces famed scholars. The dwarves still isolate themselves in Karaz and Karak. Magic is still both feared and respected. The Silv still fear falling prey to their internal shadows and becoming Black Elves. And prophecy still binds the fates of those who will become heroes. Those who are Blood of Legends.
